What is your field of treatment?
I am a Licensed Acupuncturist and Functional Medicine Specialist with over 20+ years of experience. My experience is wide and varied and I have worked with special needs children, worked with The 49er’s and San Diego Chargers in preseason training to keep them at their best; worked in addiction and rehab programs; and held an advanced internship in Beijing.
Describe your personal approach. Simply?
On your first visit, I will diagnose you through the eyes of Chinese medicine and discuss the potential for Functional Medicine to further understand your unique presentation. I take a holistic approach while focusing on specific areas of concern. Your treatment will be tailored uniquely for you. I begin by listening to you and begin to create an intricate web that connects life events, injuries, illness, emotions, diet and more to create your individual treatment plan. Oftentimes I give lifestyle recommendations and things you can do in between appointments to get further faster. Don’t be surprised if you leave feeling better than when you arrived.
What led to you founding Indigo Dragon?
Ashley & I were working for a closing chiropractic center when we decided to spread our wings and open our own center. The moment I walked through the gate I knew we had our spot. I called Ashley immediately and said, “Get over here! I think we have our Indigo Dragon!” It was not our intention to open a wellness center… We were chosen to do so. We have never looked back and have proceeded to lovingly build a place of refuge for San Diego. It’s not only the high caliber of practitioners in the Indigo Dragon family: the location is a healing oasis in itself.
