Dr. Lara Langdon

With over 20 years in the wellness industry, Dr. Lara Langdon combines her extensive clinical and academic background to create a unique East meets West approach to her patient care. With her passion for cutting-edge technologies, Lara offers a diverse range of solutions for patients “who have tried everything”.  Integrating the body’s bioelectrical pathways, Lara approaches dis-ease, pain, and suffering of the physical body by reconciling physical, mental, and emotional states as a gateway into true and more permanent healing.

For the past 5 years, Lara has implemented into her practice Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM), a relaxing, drug-free, and non-invasive technique using low-level (micro-amperage) electrical currents to relieve pain and accelerate healing. This “bio-resonance” can reduce inflammation, repair tissue, and promote anti-aging effects while balancing the entire nervous system. Lara views FSM as a revolutionary approach to restoring the body’s natural state of health, as she remains dedicated to advancing industry practices and encouraging practitioners to reexamine the human body’s intricacies.

In 2017, Lara collaborated with Indigo Dragon Center to develop a physical therapy practice that employs individualized, holistic methodologies. Working with the Indigo Dragon team of acupuncturists has been a transformative experience for Lara, for through their collaboration, she has better integrated Eastern philosophy into a largely Western-based physical therapy profession.

Previously, in 2006, Lara joined the University of California San Diego Medical School, and Skaggs School of Pharmaceutical Medicine as an Assistant Clinical Professor, instructing Anatomy and Dissection to second year medical and pharmacy students. Co-currently, Lara held an Assistant Professorship at the University of St. Augustine Doctor of Physical Therapy Program teaching anatomy, musculoskeletal imaging and myofascial release techniques.  The ten years she spent exploring and teaching the inner workings of the body have shaped her unique view of the body and elevated her skill set in addressing difficult and complex cases.

Prior to earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital, Lara received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from California State University at Long Beach. Before her acceptance into the Long Beach PT program, she pursued a Journalism degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Lara holds a Physical Therapy License from the Physical Therapy Board of California. She is also an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor, NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Advanced Practitioner of FSM, and Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (Emeritus).

Outside of the workplace, Lara loves all things outdoors, energized by nature, the ocean, and connecting with her friends and family. Additionally, she advocates for healthy self-reflection and daily mindfulness as an avid participant in yoga.
